Crew Necks > Everything else

Hey guys ! This will be just a short post this week, my homework load is INSANE . Right now, I'm in skirts so I'm learning how to draft and make any kind of skirt imaginable. It's very fast paced, and when I get to the fun part I'll make posts about that.
My definition of procrastinating is online shopping, and I decided to look at crew necks today. OH.. the crew neck, the most underrated item of clothing. Do you know how many things a crew neck can do?

1. Crew necks come in almost every color, pattern, and almost anything can be on them from rhinestones to jewels to lace, or shoulder cut outs . LITERALLY anything !
2. If your feeling lazy and don't want to get all dressed up, you can wear a crew neck and still be presentable !
3. It's perfect for if you're a girly girl, and wouldn't want to be caught dead in public with a actual sweatshirt on.
4. You can also dress up a crew neck by wearing different kind of pants like a color or some design OR add jewelry and accessories.  
5. It looks great on boys and girls.
6. All the rappers and popular celebrities wear them . ex Drake, Jay Z, Rihanna. 
7. You also can look raw in them.

* Side note though for GUYS, can we stop with the Egyptian clothing ? That is tacky.

New Year's resolution time ! NYR for short, learn it. Who has been true to their resolutions so far? Anybody guilty out there? Fess up !
 The reason why NYR fall to the wayside is because of lack of motivation. It's so easy to go back to the bag of potato chips instead of your delicious carrots. We have to stop these bad habits! Get inspired,try looking at the Kardashian's or some #RHOA housewives. Does anyone think Kenya looks pretty this season or is it just me ? #RHOA

My NYR is to get my booty into shape, which I know is the most popular  NYR. SO I need some workout motivation !

 Pants, I love to workout in leggings. The only leggings I trust to work out in is Nike. Even though Nike is more expensive, it is worth it.Nike has higher quality. These leggings could last you a long time, totes worth it ! * I just hate that I said totes* Not to diss forever 21 but I have not tested out the durability of their new athletic line.

Most important, shoes ! Again I only trust Nike. The must have shoe is the Nike Air Max 2015, it comes in all different colors, I just picked my favorite. The price is a little steep, but it is their hot new shoe.

Tech: Fitbit. I Just got a Fitbit and it's seriously so great for trying to stay on fitness track ! It tracks your calories, how much you've walked or worked out, and tracks your sleep. It is also super adorable. It's the must have thing in 2015.

Every Girl Needs A Big Stud

   Every girl needs a big stud... but I'm talking earrings.  I have to admit I'm a little obsessed with the jewelry this year. 

    In the past I've been into huge necklaces and small earrings, but now I'm flipping the script. Now I like layer smaller necklaces and pair it with huge earrings. Much classier this way.

   Okay story time. About two years ago, I got these dragon earrings.. the dragon was on the front and the back was a sphere, or whatever. I would get so many compliments on these earrings, and I was like damn I am good (jk).  SO I looked for some more and couldn't find them, and now suddenly earrings like this are everywhere. But they are much better then my dingy dragon ones.*throws shade at myself*

 How to wear them : Your main focus of the outfit should be these earrings, so don't wear anything that is too flashy and could take away from them. 

For example for picture number one, I could wear a white blazer with a teeshirt and jeans, or a blouse just by it's self, or a shirt dress .. literally anything. Just avoid any kind of sequins, crazy prints or colors or anything that would take away from your focal point. Unless.. you know how to balance your colors and textures, (which I know how to do, thanks college.) I would usually wear earrings like this with my hair up, or straightened and slicked back. 

 My favorite is the huge pom pom earring, I had to get these ! The other two studs are more simple so you can get more wear from those. Stick to the guidelines and all will be fine. Isn't fashion so exciting?

 Next order or business throw away all your regular stud earrings, they are so last year. Bye Felicia.

Whoops I'm Slipping Again

       Omg it's been a while again.. but in my defense I have been busy. Hmm .. what is college like ? Ugh how can I describe it.. it's sort of like being in the middle of the ocean, stranded and clinging to a small plank of wood (with a smile). Fashion design is no joke it moves so fast, I'm going to make efforts to post what I've been learning.
    Hey my GPA was a 3.5 so you might find that impressive.. if you care.
Let's get to  the main topic of discussion today..  Birkenstock sandals. Remember those ? Here's a refresher:

     It's not a pretty sight right ? Well I was on Zooshoo and I saw some Birkenstocks but they are reinvented. It's kind of like bringing back the fanny pack, see now they are acceptable and these shoes might be too. What do you think ?  My personal favorite was the last one.
